Walker Title & Escrow LLC
Effective September 14, 2026
Walker Title & Escrow LLC is a licensed Florida title insurance agency. We handle sensitive personal and financial information in the course of every closing, and we treat that responsibility seriously. This notice explains what we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
Information we collect
We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:
- Information you give us directly, on applications, order forms, questionnaires, or in the course of a transaction, for example your name, address, telephone number, email address, Social Security or tax identification number, and marital status.
- Information about your transaction with us, our affiliates, or others, for example the property address, purchase price, loan amount, payoff information, and closing and disbursement details.
- Information from third parties involved in your transaction, for example real estate brokers, lenders, attorneys, surveyors, appraisers, homeowners associations, taxing authorities, and public records.
How we use and share your information
We use your information to search and examine title, issue title insurance commitments and policies, conduct your closing, disburse funds, record documents, and meet our legal, regulatory, and underwriting obligations.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing purposes.
We share your information only as permitted or required by law, and only as needed to complete your transaction. This includes sharing with:
- The title insurance underwriter issuing your policy
- Lenders, mortgage servicers, and their agents
- Real estate brokers and attorneys involved in your transaction
- Search, examination, survey, lien search, and settlement service providers working on your file
- County recording offices, taxing authorities, and other government agencies
- Our regulators, auditors, and professional advisors
- Any party to whom you direct us in writing to release information
We require our service providers to protect your information and to use it only for the purpose for which we engaged them.
How we protect your information
We restrict access to your nonpublic personal information to those employees and service providers who need it to do their work on your file. We maintain a written information security program with physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect your information, and we review it regularly.
Wire fraud and how we communicate with you
Criminals target real estate transactions by impersonating title agents, real estate agents, attorneys, and lenders by email. To protect you:
- We deliver wiring instructions only through our secure portal. We will never send or change wiring instructions by email.
- Always call to verify before you wire funds. Call us at the number published on this website, never a number contained in an email, and confirm the instructions with someone you have spoken to before.
- Never email sensitive documents or numbers. Do not send Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, or copies of identification by email. We will send you a secure upload link.
- Treat any last-minute change as fraud until proven otherwise. If you receive a message changing payment instructions, the closing date, or the amount due, stop and call us.
If you believe you have been targeted, contact us immediately and notify your bank.
Former customers
We keep and protect information about our former customers on the same terms described in this notice, and we continue to limit how it is used and shared after your file closes.
